Storm Water Management

The Village of Worth’s storm drainage system carries untreated storm water runoff directly to creeks and rivers.  The benefits of keeping these areas free of sediment, debris and contaminants are:

  1. We have clean water in our rivers for drinking, wildlife and recreation;
  2. storm drainage facilities that are free of sediment and trash require less maintenance;
  3. stream corridors provide a healthy habitat for wildlife and an attractive space in a neighborhood.
